St. Martin Ukrainian Bilingual Playschool is a high quality child care program that uses "learning
through play" to provide a fun and inviting atmosphere for your child to learn and experience the
Ukrainian language, heritage and culture. No previous knowledge of Ukrainian is required. There
are both morning and afternoon classes available for children ages 3 -6 years old. We offer flexible
scheduling and classes are 3 hours long.
NEW THIS YEAR
- Ukrainian Enrichment Program for Kindergarten-aged
children for both Mornings and Afternoons
- Flexible Morning and Afternoon classes for 3-4 year olds
for 2-3 classes per week
- Expansion of our program to include two separate classrooms
through grant funding and casino funds
(Grand Opening scheduled Sept 2008)
We offer an introduction to Ukrainian and are committed to helping your child prepare for
kindergarten. Children will be able to participate in activities that promote curiosity and
enthusiasm while encouraging the learning of skills through integration of language, art, music,
physical and emotional development and field trips.
The Playschool seeks to encourage the child's development, and promote the child's growth in the
following: social, physical, intellectual, emotional, listening skills, visual discrimination, pre-reading
skills and cultural creativity and expression. The children will be able to explore and relate to the
other children through: circle time, show and tell, dress-up and imaginative play, puppetry, music,
puzzles, games, crafts and painting, building centers, play dough, toys, library, playground and
gym activities, field trips, theme and special events, and special visits and presenters. We offer
our children a multitude of experience and strive to provide an environment that guides the
beginnings of independence, learning, creativity, self expression, decision making and the
promotion of self esteem.
Our goal is to provide an environment where your child can begin to grow to their full potential!
The Playschool is a non-profit organization administered by parents with a new executive elected
