Ukrainian Folk Dancing

St. Martin School offers Ukrainian dance classes, instructed by highly trained professional Choreographer/Ballet Vladimir Makarov. Recreational style practices are held during lunch hour (20 minutes) once a week for each of 3 groups.

Each of the  dance groups learn two dances and perform at the School Christmas concert and End of School Year Talent Show.

Children learn basic Ukrainian dance steps, rhythmic steps, and practicing together as a team in a friendly and fun atmosphere.

For dance practices children are required to wear dance slippers (girls – red, boys – black).

For performances each child is required to have a traditional Ukrainian costume.
